📘 How to Use the GPA Calculator

Our free Online GPA Calculator helps you calculate your weighted Grade Point Average (GPA) easily for school, college, or university results. GPA is a numeric measure of academic performance, most commonly calculated on a 4.0 scale, but many institutions also use letter grades like A, B+, C-, etc.

With this tool, you can:

🔢 Supported GPA Inputs

You can:

  • Select Letter Grade → A, A-, B+, B, C, etc.

  • Enter Credits/Hours for each subject

  • Optionally type the Course name (for reference only)

🧠 GPA Formula Used

 
Σ (Grade Points × Credits) ÷ Σ (Total Credits) = Final GPA

For example:
If you took 3 subjects:

(3 × 4.0) + (3 × 3.3) + (2 × 3.7) = 12 + 9.9 + 7.4 = 29.3
Total Credits = 3 + 3 + 2 = 8

Final GPA = 29.3 ÷ 8 = 3.66

Steps to Use the Calculator

  1. Add Courses
    Click + Add More Courses to insert subject rows.

  2. Enter Course Name (optional)
    This is just for your reference — it does not affect the GPA result.

  3. Enter Credits / Hours
    Input how many credits that subject carries (must be a positive number).

  4. Choose Your Grade
    Use the dropdown to select your letter grade (A, B+, C-, etc.)
    OR enter percentage score if available in settings.

  5. Click “Calculate”
    Your final weighted GPA will appear instantly.

  6. Modify Anytime
    You can edit subject grades, add/remove courses, or reset using Clear.
